Brandon Curd
Postdoctoral Fellow
I am a postdoc in the Anantua research group at the University of Texas at San Antonio and a member of the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration. I obtained my bachelors in astrophysics from The University of Oklahoma. I then went on to obtain my PhD at Harvard University with Ramesh Narayan. I am primarily interested in black hole accretion physics and tidal disruption events (TDEs). I utilize state of the art general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations to study the dynamics and emission of accretion flows germane to AGN, TDEs, and black hole X-ray binaries. My current focus is tilted accretion systems and magnetic fields in TDEs.
